 By now most of us are aware that chatGPT is a so-called natural language processing (NLP) model created by OpenAI that is intended to produce writing that corresponds to that of a human based on a particular context.

ChatGPT was built from the ground up with chatbot applications in mind, which can be used to produce conversational answers to user queries. However, as many users have already discovered, ChatGPT may also be used for a variety of other tasks, including producing articles, question answering, text synthesis, and language translation.


So, how does ChatGPT work with Google search ranking?

Google won't sit back and do nothing as more people discover ChatGPT and use it as a search engine, just as many now use TikTok, even though you can use it and other tools like Andi search to find information with a cleaner, ad-free, and spam-free result. Instead, Google will be actively competing with NLP platforms rather than waiting.


And being the pessimist that I am, or the pragmatic, if I had my way, it wouldn't be long until businesses figured out how to profit from NLP.


It is important to remember that search engines' main objective is to give users the most relevant and helpful search results possible, not to precisely say whether or not a piece of content was produced by an NLP model.


If Google loses users, it must figure out how to win them back.
Because of this, probably, Google or other search engines won't give the detection of material produced by ChatGPT or other NLP models more weight than other elements that are more directly related to the user experience and the content's quality.


In the end, producing valuable, high-quality content for users will have the biggest impact on how well a website or web page ranks in search results. The overall quality and relevancy of the information are more important than whether it was created by a human or an NLP algorithm.
